The FiiO BTR3K is a portable Bluetooth amplifier designed for two purposes: to give your headphones a robust signal, and to communicate with compatible devices over Bluetooth 5.0. The device supports AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX Low Latency, aptX HD, and LDAC Bluetooth codecs for compatibility with a wide range of smartphones, portable music players, and other source devices. The onboard amplifier and DAC ensure a quality sound that will bring out the best in your music.
A Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth chip is used with the BTR3K, one that supports 24-bit transmission and processing to preserve your music's dynamic range and stability in most locales, preventing dropouts when possible. Two AK4376A DAC/amp chips–one for each channel–offers low levels of distortion and a high signal-to-noise ratio to ensure a sonic experience that is high on nuance and low on sonic impediments. The device sports the same dual crystal oscillators found in the BTR5. This ensure that your audio stays jitter-free and clear, no matter the sample rate.
Controls and indicators are on hand so you always know which input codec is selected at any given time, and so you're always able to switch tracks, make phone calls, start/stop your music, and contact your digital assistant. A built-in microphone allows for hands-free calls. A remote control app facilitates even more control. Connect your consumer headphones to the BTR3K by means of the 3.5mm stereo jack, or use the balanced 2.5mm jack for balanced headphones. You can connect to up to two devices at any time.
In addition to serving as a go-between for headphones and devices, the BTR3K is also a USB DAC with a USB Type-C connector, so you can upgrade the sound of your computer.
